Good morning Charleston

I slept like a baby. The boat rocked slowly and the creaking was actually soothing. We started the day off by running the generator with no load while we cooked breakfast on shore power. Fresh fruit, farm fresh eggs I brought from NH, and applewood smoked bacon that Captain Ralph overcooked into dust!

We are packing up and motoring out! We will gradually increase the load on our generator while watching the gauges to determine what is causing the draw. Our VHF is loud and clear again, so we are safe (and backup handheld VHF is fully charged). I need to get to work on the lines and bumpers, my favorite part of the day (insert sarcasm emoji and the one with the eyes bugging out of its head). Captain Ralph seems rushed to get out of port in a hurry. I tell him no. Often. He doesn't like it. NOT... ONE... BIT... I am  hoping he will learn to self-soothe. Hey, I got him eating vegetables!!
